Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author(s) ensure that the contribution is original and unpublished and is not being evaluated in other journal(s);
  • The article must be presented in Microsoft Word format or RTF provided that it does not exceed 2MB;
  • Foreign words should be written in italics while neologisms or unusual words should be written in quotations marks;

Author Guidelines

1) It only publishes unpublished articles, which should contribute to interdisciplinary understanding. They must be sent to the Editorial Board of the Journal through the OSJ system, on any date, since the receipt and evaluation of works are continuous.

2) All articles must have the following structure:

a) as pre-textual elements - title of the article (in ARIAL font, size 14, in bold and centered, with versions in English and in some other international language) followed, on the right, by the identification of the author and the credentials of this (full names of authors and co-authors, titles, institutional affiliations and current professional activities), mention of grants received, support and funding, abstract and keywords in vernacular, abstract and keywords in English and abstract and keywords spanish key;

b) as textual elements – introduction, development and conclusion;

c) as post-textual elements – list of references (only works actually cited in the text should appear in the references).

3) The works must have up to 20 pages and 8 authors.

4) For direct quotations of more than three lines, footnotes, pagination and captions of illustrations and tables, the font size becomes Arial 10, and the spacing, simple.

5) All texts must follow the other norms of the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms (ABNT) on citations and footnotes, references in documents and other specificities (see, notably NBR 14724, NBR 10520 and NBR 6023, all from August 2002).

6) Permission for the use of illustrations, images, tables, etc., extracted from other publications, as well as any other licenses or approvals before copyright holders, is the full responsibility of the authors of the articles, cases and reviews. .

7) The publication of the contributions received will be subject to the evaluation of the Scientific Council of the Journal and any ad hoc evaluators, who may approve them in full, suggest changes or definitively reject them.

8) The Editorial Board of the Journal will send electronic correspondence confirming the receipt of the works.

9) The Journal's Editorial Board may carry out, with or without a recommendation from the Scientific Board and the ad hoc reviewers, small changes of a merely formal nature in the texts received, in order to adapt them to ABNT standards, with no structural changes being allowed. , content or style, without the prior consent of the authors.

10) Authors of articles, cases and reviews approved for publication with suggestions for changes (language corrections, adaptations to ABNT, etc.) by the evaluators or the Journal's Editorial Board will be contacted. The Editorial Board may refuse the publication of articles or reviews in relation to which reservations were made by the evaluators, if these have not been considered by the respective authors.

11) It is the Editorial Board, made up of members endowed with scientific maturity and seniority in research, representatives of more than one State of the Brazilian Federation and, in the future, of some countries, which helps the Editorial in the definition of the editorial project (theme) of each issue of the Magazine and in the resolution of doubts related to it.

12) It is the Scientific Council, composed of external researchers who help the Journal's Editorial Board both in reviewing the articles received (Article Evaluation Form) and in appointing ad hoc evaluators (internal or external to the Institution), when necessary, as well as in the capture of articles according to the themes of the Journal. In the evaluation of the articles, their authorship will be kept confidential.

13) The Journal adopts a policy to combat endogeny, following CAPES guidelines, in the sense that the number of published articles authored by professors from the Institution itself is as small as possible.

14) Publication does not imply any kind of remuneration.

- This magazine does not charge a submission fee;
